Please note I will be closed from Monday, June 11th,
for a period of 6 weeks to recover from a medical procedure.
I should be back to work as normal by Monday, July 23rd.
I am very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. Andy.

The Pit Stop was started in July 2004 to supply tyres and alloy wheels, but not to be just another jack of all trades "fast fit" centre. Because of this you can buy a tyre, get a puncture repaired, your tracking checked and adjusted, buy a new spare wheel, or even have your old wheels refurbished ! However we don't do exhausts, brakes, batteries or the dreaded shock absorbers, so rest assured you won't be pressurised into buying any of these products. This should give you the peace of mind that you will only end up paying for what you need, or want to achieve and nothing else !
In 2007 we moved into the motorcycle and scooter tyre world, which has gone from strenth to strength.  As a fellow "biker" myself, I am very well aware of the requirements of the biking community. I offer either a fitted to loose wheel service or ride in ride out service. You can also borrow my tools etc to remove your own wheels if that makes it easier for you. As long as I am selling tyres I don't mind.
In February  2016, we had to take the decision to move premises to Mirfield.
I have been in the vehicle repair business for over 43 years now, time served to my trade as a motor engineer, but now have the pleasure of specialising in  tyres. After spending many years working for national / large companies I became very disillusioned with the sales pressures and techniques applied, so I started my own company. This way I can continue to work in a professional way with integrity and offer a service that the "big boys" can't give..
I supply tyres from most manufacturers, so if you have a specific requirement I am sure I can help. If you need advice on what to do, don't worry, come and talk to me. Be it a car, van, 4x4, Mpv, Motorcycle or scooter I can usually find you an answer. All my prices include a new valve, balancing and casing disposal where required. I don't believe in "hidden extras" and suprise "add ons" so I will always try to build into the price all the extra's I think you will need. I always give a breakdown  of costings to make it clear what is needed, and how much.  Even I don't like nasty surprises !
