At The Pit Stop we are trusted with some very special bikes, some very new and very fast, some a little older and pehaps a little slower (or not as the case may be !), but classic bikes that are just as much the owners pride and joy as the modern superbike, cruiser or custom bike. As a time served motor engineer and self confessed petrol head, I take great pleasure in working on these bikes. Here we have the necessary equipment and knowledge needed to carry out a professional job to the standard you all expect.  Pictured below are just a few examples of bikes I have had the pleasure of working on, and hope that this demonstrates you can trust us with your own machine.
Please note, this is not a "KwikFit" Service !   It takes as long as it takes to do an "old school" proper job !
Be it a loved classic bike or your pride and joy super bike, I take care of it as if it was my own. What ever the machine, It will be treated with respect.
Classic bike tyres
The Dunlop classic tube type tyres are available in several sizes, and as a tube type tyre must have an inner tube fitted. We always fit a new tube and rim tape as this is a safety related concern. They are made as K70 rears, K81 (TT100) universal & K82 universal.
 Also available an many classic sizes are the AVON Roadrider and Bridgestone BT45 ranges, very popular for many classic Japanese bikes as well as British machines
 Prices for tyres fitted to a loose wheel inc VAT, but subject to new inner tube (approx £12<£15) and rim tape (£1.20). Great care is taken with all wheels, but as I am sure you will appreciate, fitting tyres to classic wire spoked wheels is much more time consuming. I prefer to have wheels left with us and then will call you when it is ready to be collected.
 Supply only prices are for those of you who wish to fit your own tyres !
