The Pit Stop
was started in July 2004 to supply tyres and alloy wheels, but not to be just another jack of all trades "fast
fit" centre. Because of this you can buy a tyre, get a puncture repaired, your tracking checked and adjusted, buy a
set of new wheels, or even have your old wheels refurbished ! However we don't do exhausts, brakes, batteries or
the dreaded shock absorbers, so rest assured you won't be pressurised into buying any of these products. This should give
you the peace of mind that you will only end up paying for what you need, or want to achieve and nothing else !
I have been in the vehicle repair business
for over 36 years now, time served to my trade as a motor engineer, but now have the pleasure of specialising in tyres
and alloy wheels. After spending many years working for national / large companies I became very disillusioned with
the sales pressures and techniques applied, so I started my own company. This way I can continue to work in
a professional way with integrity and offer a service that the "big boys" can't give..
We supply tyres
from most manufacturers, so if you have a specific requirement I am sure we can help. If you need advice on what to do, don't
worry, come and talk to us. Be it a car, van, 4x4, Mpv, Motorcycle or scooter we can usually find you an answer.
All our prices include a new valve, balancing and casing disposal where required. We don't believe in "hidden extras" and suprise "add ons" so we will
always try to build into the price all the extra's we think you will need. We always give a breakdown of costings
to make it clear what is needed, and how much. Even we don't like nasty surprises !

We had many
things on display including the new "Maxxis Diamond" motorcycle tyres, available in 120/70 + 180/55r17 sizes, with
the 190/50r17 due in very soon. It was good
